Luso-Can Tuna em Sรฃo Miguel!

To commemorate our recent trip to Sรฃo Miguel to participate in TAUA’s 25th anniversary, Lorenzo “Pidgeot” Porpino has written a few words for us:

I feel like most of us Caloiros were very intimidated at the thought of performing in Portugal for the first time, especially alongside other Tunas. For some of us, it was our first contact with other Tunas and the experience of performing abroad as a whole. Needless to say that both our visit and performances in Sรฃo Miguel went extremely well. In Portugal, we learned how the Tunas there work and many of them gave us valuable advice that we could never have obtained in our hometown. We were received with open arms by our Padrinhos (TAUA), and we were very happy with the results of our participation. This contact with the Luso world is very important to us, and we are honoured to have participated in TAUAโ€™s 25th-anniversary celebration.
